Summer Hair Trends At MB-SWIM 2012

Lets face it summer is here and its hot and humid, who really has time to do their hair!! Its all about the "SEXY TOUSLED BEACH HAIR!"  This look is all what I'm about this summer as well as one of the HAUTE looks here at Mercedes Benz Swim 2012.  Even though I am a skin and make-up expert I also have a great eye for fashion, trends, and hair.  This look is one of my top go to looks for the summer!! I will take you step by step on what I do to achieve this look. I naturally have wavy hair so this look is super simple for us wavy hair girls. But not to worry if you have straight hair have your stylist put in textured layers before you try this out.

• I start out by using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner
• I then pat my hair out with a towel
• I comb thru my hair to make sure I get all the tangles being as gentle as possible with my hair
• I spray a heat protectant on then wrap my hair back up in a towel. This gives my hair time to dry a bit while Im applying my make-up :)
• once I unwrap my hair I do not comb thru again this is very important to keep some of that texture you created in the towel wrap.
• I begin to use a texturizing creme, they come in spray or gel as well just depends on your preference. I really like and use Kenra Curl Defining Creme.
• Using my fingers I work it thru the strands of my hair with a twisting and scrunching motion.
• You can allow your hair to dry naturally as you continue to do the scrunching motion.
• For that extra bounce I scrunch and use the blow dryer for a few minutes to speed the process.
• My final touch is a shine spray. I personally think it adds that extra touch and bounce for your hair to look naturally tousled and not dry looking.

These are just my personal beauty tips for the sexy tousled look.  When you show up at that summer party looking effortless with your sexy hair, you will be the envy of all your friends!!! ;)

Kristen Cavallari kicks off Mercedes Benz Swimsuit Week for Diesel.

Mercedes Benz Swimsuit Week, Miami 2011 has kicked off with a sunburst of color from Diesel’s 2012 swim collection. Kristin Cavallari closed the show as a surprise model, rocking a glass shard, one shoulder cobalt blue swimsuit inspired by the event sponsor, Skyy Vodka.

Kristin's outfit was one of of the SKYY Vodka's Capsule collection produced by Diesel, as well as three additional swimsuits that were designed in homage to the vodka brand.  

Diesel mixed it up with basic bandeau dues tops and string bikini bottoms, with beige accesories, a swim suit classic.

One of their unique pieces, was a denim high waist, strapless one piece...my personal favorite. I love the spin on the forties silhoutte.

Speedo's in bright stripes and trunks for guys, were a definite hit with men's bags. Yay for a shout out to men's accessories and the risqué look of the French speedo.

The two swimsuits that really hit the mark were a tangerine bandeau bikini and a sky blue halter/short combo. Color is alive again, say so long to the neutral hipster look.

Awesome.

The five day long Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2012 will run through July 18.
